The Flying Dutchman is a mummers comic group that marches to promote autism awareness. Individuals with autism and other disabilities have been marching with the Flying Dutchman group for 25 years. Several years ago the Flying Dutchman group started raising money for autism and in 2017 Flying Dutchman became an official, 501c3 non profit organization.

Throughout the year, we have various awareness and fundraising activities such as our Christmas light display, which is part of the miracle on south 13th  street, our fundraiser at the mummers museum, and our tent that can be seen at various events around Philadelphia.  The money we raise goes to help autism awareness. Specifically, we present money to various autism research and awareness programs including the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Center for Autism Research, AJ Drexel Institute, etc. Check us out on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @foundationfd1.
